2015 has seen this caterer continue its year-on-year improvement, adding more sustainable seafood and more free-range meat to its menus. The company has adopted over 40 beehives and has helped fund water pumps in Africa as well as using a range of smart ways to communicate its philosophy to customers.

How it all began …

… on a fine summer night with 3 people, 2 loaves, 5 fishes and a rather classy Sancerre. From this meeting of minds and stomachs bartlett mitchell was lovingly kneaded into reality. The vision was to run a catering company that respects and values its clients, and keeps its team and ‘Fundamentally Food’ principles at its heart.

Where we are now …

Our culture is based on the personalities of our founders, Wendy Bartlett, Ian Mitchell and David James. Wendy, Ian and David are entrepreneurial foodies, with all the energy, creativity and initiative you expect from natural entrepreneurs. Together, they’ve created a company of like-minded ‘can do’ people, who enjoy building strong, long-term relationships with clients.

Because we are an entrepreneurial business, we don’t have a one-size-fits-all template that we attempt to force on each client. Our catering service focuses on tailor-made solutions using innovation. We take time to develop bespoke ideas for the client culture, employees’ tastes and the physical environment. We also recognise the importance of delivering value for money, working as a tight and agile team to develop solutions that reduce costs and use resources more smartly.
